Ingredients

  • 12 ounces bag of iceberg salad mix
  • 1/2 cup red onions, chopped
  • 1 cup celery
  • 1 small bag of frozen peas, sprinkled over celery
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese(not finely grated)
  • 1 pound crisp bacon, crumbled

How To Make 24 hour/seven-layer salad

  • Step 1
    Place salad mix, red onions, celery and peas in the bottom of a large glass salad bowl. Mix sugar with mayonnaise to create salad dressing, and spread mixture over peas as if it were icing. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, followed by bacon.
  • Step 2
    Cover dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. Mix when ready to serve.
