This recipe is in our church cookbook submitted by a good friend. It's called "winter" but it's delicious anytime!

  • 1/2 c
  • 2 tsp
    onions, minced
  • 1/3 c
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1/2 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    poppy seeds
  • 10 c
    romaine lettuce torn into pieces
  • 1
    bosc pear, chopped
  • 1
    apple, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    cranberries/raisins or craisins
  • 1 c
  • 8 oz
    shredded swiss cheese

How to Make Winter Fruit Salad


  1. Combine first 6 ingredients for the salad dressing. If you don't like a mustard dressing, you can substitute a good bottled Poppyseed salad dressing and leave out the poppy seeds. Mix the lettuce, fruit, cashews and cheese. Add dressing and mix.
