watergate salad, mom's version

This is an old recipe that seems to appear in every church cookbook I have ever seen. My Mom loved it and I am posting it here for her cookbook. This recipe is supposed to have originated at the Watergate hotel in Washington, DC.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 can (16 ounces) undrained, crushed pineapple, canned in own juice
  • 1 cup pecans, in pieces
  • 1 small box pistachio pudding
  • 1 - (9 ounce) container whipped topping, thawed

How To Make watergate salad, mom's version

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingedients together and pour into a serving bowl. Refrigerate several hours before serving. You may like to put more whipped topping on this just before serving.
