Since i love this waldorf salad I make it often and instead of grabbing junk food to snack on this is what I eat instead. I use the splenda in place of regular sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 4 - firm,tart apples,cored & cut into bit size pieces(skin on)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery (1 large rib)
  • 1/3 cup halved walnuts
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or splenda
  • 6 large leaves iceburg lettuce

How To Make waldorf salad

  • Step 1
    Plump the raisins by putting them in a small bowl of water for 5 minutes. Drain them very well and pat them dry.
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle the lemon juice over the bit size apples as this keeps them from turning brown.
  • Step 3
    Mix everything together and serve on leaves of iceburg lettuce.
