This is a wonderful fall salad! Or anytime!!! I love the flavor combination in here. Its a favorite among friends and great for luncheons.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 - red and green apples, unpeeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper or to taste
  • 2 cups seedless red and green grapes, halved
  • 1 cup swiss cheese, cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 1/2 cup toasted pecans, coursely chopped
  • - romaine lettuce leaves, if desired

How To Make swiss apple salad

  • Step 1
    Gently toss together apples with 2T lemon juice in a large bowl. Add in celery. In a small bowl combine mayo, sour cream, vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt and pepper. Add to apple mixture and gently toss until well coated.
  • Step 2
    Right before eating, stir in grapes, cheese and pecans. Serve on romaine lettuce leaves if desired. Sprinkle with crasins or golden raisins or both if desired.
