    very red apples (jonathan or gravenstein)
  • 1/2
    lemon, juiced
  • 3-4
    young stalks celery, cut in 1 cm (½ in) slices
  • 100 g
    (3½ oz) walnuts, lightly toasted in a frying pan
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • ·
    sea salt

How to Make Swiss Apple salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut the apples into bite-sized pieces and pour on the lemon juice (this will stop the apples from going brown).
  2. Mix the apples with the celery, walnuts and mayonnaise, and taste for salt.
