very red apples (jonathan or gravenstein)

lemon, juiced

young stalks celery, cut in 1 cm (½ in) slices
100 g
(3½ oz) walnuts, lightly toasted in a frying pan
1/2 c
mayonnaise
sea salt

How to Make Swiss Apple salad

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cut the apples into bite-sized pieces and pour on the lemon juice (this will stop the apples from going brown).
  • 2Mix the apples with the celery, walnuts and mayonnaise, and taste for salt.
