I have had this recipe a very long time, I don't remember the source. It is very good and very adaptable. I add other fruit to it as the whim strikes me.

Ingredients
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- 12 ounces cool whip, thawed
How To Make queen salad

Step 1In a large bowl, combine ingredients in the order listed. Chill for several hours or overnight before serving.

Step 2Options: 1) Reserve pineapple juice, slice a banana or two into the juice (to avoid brown bananas), stir banana slices into the salad, discarding pineapple juice. 2) Add flaked coconut, as much or little as you like 3)Drain and rinse maraschino cherries, slice them in halves or quarters and stir into salad.
