This is a holiday favorite in the Johnston household. My husband grew up having this for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I usually do it for Easter. As for most of my recipes, this one comes from my late mother-in-law's recipe box.

Ingredients
- 1 - lg. box lime jello
- 1 - lg. pkg. cream cheese
- 1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
- 1 - 12 oz. pkg. cool whip
How To Make pineapple-lime molded salad

Step 1Measure pineapple juice and enough liquid to make 1 1/2 cups, bring to boil & dissolve jello into it. Cool til syrupy & fold into cheese & pineapple which has been mixed together. Fold in cool whip. Chill. Garnish with nuts & maraschino cherries ( dates may be added).

Step 2Note: though nowhere does it state, I make this in a 9x13 glass pan.
