boiling water

canned mandarin oranges
20 oz
canned crushed pineapple
1 pkg
mini marshmallows
8 oz
whipped topping
1 c
1 c
grated sharp cheddar cheese

How to Make Hawaiian Fruit Salad


  • 1Drain and reserve the juice of the canned fruit.
  • 2Dissolve gelatin in cup of boiling water.
  • 3Add juice from drained fruits.
  • 4Add fruit to mixture; stir and pour into flat glass casserole dish.
  • 5Cover the top with marshmallows.
  • 6Refrigerate the salad to congeal.
  • 7Fold mayonnaise into the whipped cream and spread over the top of the marshmallows.
  • 8Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top of the salad.
  • 9Refrigerate until serving.
