Grandma's Apple Salad

Ingredients

4-5 smallred apples (diced)

2 cpurple grapes (seedless)cut in half

20 ozcan of crushed pineapple
-
1-2 cchopped pecans
-
1 csmall marshmallows
-
3 Tbsplemon juice
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
2egg yolks
-
2 Tbspflour
-
2 Tbspbutter
-
1 1/2 cpineapple juice( use juice from can of crushed pineapple)

1 csugar
How to Make Grandma's Apple Salad
- Mix pineapple juice, lemon juice, salt, flour, butter, egg yolks(mix these in while mixture still cool or you will end up with scrambled eggs),and sugar together in a small sauce pan. Cook over low heat until thick.(Not quite pudding thick)Stir constantely
- Cool mixture in refridgerator until completely cool stirring occasionally. Then mix in 1 container of cool whip. While mixture cools cut up fruit.
- Pour mixture over fruit and nuts and refridgerate until ready to serve.
