glorified rice
This is a recipe I've gotten from my mom, who got it from my grandma. They would make this usually for holiday meals while I was growing up. It's been my favorite since I can remember. I started making this dish when MY daughter was born, and it quickly became one of her favorites too. Now I make it anytime, not just for holidays. :)

Ingredients
- 2 packages lemon jello
- 1 can crushed pineapple (20 oz)
- 4 cups cooked rice, not minute rice
- 1 pint whipping cream
- 8 tablespoons sugar (for the whipping cream)
How To Make glorified rice

Step 1Dissolve jello in 2 c Hot water. Drain the pineapple, add the juice to enough water to make 1 1/2 c. Add this to the jello/hot water. Let thicken, then add the cooled rice and pineapple. Let this set up. Whip the cream with the sugar, and fold into the rice/pineapple mixture.
