fresh fruit salad
I make this all of the time during the summer. It is refreshing to have after a heavy meal instead of dessert.

Ingredients
- 3 cups florida's natural orange juice (i use the one with the most pulp)
- 1 - 8 oz. dole pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 - 15 oz mandarin oranges, drained
- 2 large fuji apples, unpeeled (i use organic since the prices for organic and non- organic are about the same now for apples)
- 2 - ripe bananas just starting to show sugar spots, sliced
- 3 - dozen green grapes, sliced in half or you can leave them whole (buy grapes that have a yellow tinge to them since they are the ripest)
How To Make fresh fruit salad
-
Step 1Pour the orange juice into a medium sized bowl
-
Step 2Add the drained pineapple chunks and mandarin oranges
-
Step 3Slice the bananas and add to the bowl
-
Step 4Cut the unpeeled Fuji apples into bite size bits and add to the bowl
-
Step 5Slice the green grapes and add to the bowl
-
Step 6Stir to coat all of the fruit
-
Step 7Best if left covered in the frig overnight. The orange juice soaks up the flavors of the fruit.
-
Step 8Great summer fruit to add: watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, kiwi, plums. ***I have tried strawberries in the past, but they are not sweet enough to counteract the slight bitterness of the orange juice
