Makes about 2 cups
Ingredients
- 20 ounces can unsweetened pineapple chunks drained reserving 1 cup juice
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 medium egg beaten
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 pear peeled and cubed
- 1 cup strawberries sliced
- 2 bananas peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 8 ounces cool whip
How To Make fluffy fruit salad

Step 1Place the 1 cup of pineapple juice in a saucepan. If you don't have 1 cup add water to make 1 cup.

Step 2Add the sugar, flour and salt. Cook and sitr over med heat until bubbly. Reduce heat and cook 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat and stir a small amount of sauce into the egg. Add the egg mixture to the pan stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vinegar and let cool to room temp.

Step 3MIx the pineapple chunks, pears, strawberries, and bananas together. Mix the cool whip with the sauce.

Step 4Add the pecans and the cool whip and mix well. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
