festive fruit salad
All of the ingredients used are available year round and it keeps extremely well in the frig. I use red delicious apples as they are pretty. This is a favorite at our house and I hope at yours!

Ingredients
- 1 20 oz cans pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 - egg, lightly beaten
- 2 11 oz cans mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 20 oz cans pears, drained and chopped
- 3 - kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced
- 2 large unpeeled apples, chopped
- 1 cup pecan halves
How To Make festive fruit salad

Step 1Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Pour pineapple juice into a small saucepan. Add sugar and flour. Bring to a boil. Quickly stir in egg. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat and cool.

Step 2In a large bowl, combine pineapple, oranges, pears, kiwi, apples, and pecans. Pour the dressing over the fruit and blend well. Cover. Chill before serving.
