This recipe was passed down through my mother's mother. It has been on every Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner table as far back as I can remember. They both used a meat grinder to mix these ingredients together. Today, I use the food processor. Enjoy-
Grind cranberries, marshmallows, & nuts alternating so grinder won't clog. Add pineapple, sugar and fold in whipping cream.
If using a food processor:
Add cranberries, sugar, walnuts. Whirrr until well mixed like a relish consistancy. Add the marshmallows. Whirr to mix. Add the well drained pineapple. Whirr to mix. Add whipping cream. Whirr. Beautiful pink in color! Refridgerate overnight to become set. Stir before serving. Enjoy!-
2I buy cranberries during the holiday season and freeze. This is a wonderful salad to make all year long.
