Ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 package cherry jello (small pkg)
- 1 package 3 oz. cubed cream cheese (very cold)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 - red delicious (firm) apple diced
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 can whole cranberry sauce
- TOPPING
- - cool whip (amount to taste)
- - sour cream (amount to taste)
- - ground nutmeg
- - finely chopped walnuts
How To Make cranberry cherry salad

Step 1Add boiling water to cherry jello, stir until dissolved, set aside. Heat cranberry sauce in pan on stove and cook until bubbling. Remove from heat and add to dissolved jello. Cover with saran wrap and cool in refrigerator in Pyrex glass pan until slightly jelled so when adding other ingredients they don't settle to bottom. Add chilled cubed cream cheese, diced apples, mayonnaise and nuts; be sure to stir after adding each ingredient completely. Cover with saran wrap and chill completely.

Step 2Topping: Soften cool whip. Combine cool whip and sour cream in a bowl. Spread over top of jello; sprinkle with very finely crushed walnuts, then sprinkle with ground nutmeg over top. Enjoy!!
