    large apples (one red delicious and one granny smith)
  • 20 oz
    can crushed pineapple
  • 2 1/2 c
    mini marshmallows
  • 1
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 1/2 c
    cocktail peanuts (or 2 large snickers bars chopped)
  • 1
    8 oz. container of cool whip

How to Make Cousin Annie's Taffy Apple Salad


  1. Drain crushed pineapple and save juice.
  2. Place 2 1/2 minim marshmallows and crushed pineapple in a covered glass dish and refrigerate overnight.
  3. In a small sauce pan, mix pineapple juice, egg, flour and sugar and cook on low-med heat until thick - should be the consistency of pudding. Place in glass covered dish and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Just before serving: Chop apples and mix with ingredients of both bowls into a larger serving bowl. Add Cool Whip and cocktail peanuts (or Snickers).
