cottage cheese jell-o salad
Wow, talk about an easy salad to make this is it! Now, my Grammie didn't have a name for this recipe so I just gave it a name. I remember eating this Jell-o when I was a kid. I love that it has cottage cheese in it. It is light, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. It would be great to be served at Easter time or any holiday with the flavor of Jell-o you love.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
If you grew up in the 1960s or 70s, you most likely have tried this salad at a holiday or potluck. This vintage cottage cheese Jell-o salad has so many contrasting flavors. The sweet Cool Whip with the gelatin mix is balanced by the tangy cottage cheese. Bits of sweet pineapple is in every bite. We went with lime Jell-o for the classic green color we grew up with. You can use any flavor of gelatin though. It sounds strange, but this salad is so good.
Ingredients
- 3 ounces package of Jell-o, any flavor
