This recipe was shared with me over 20 years ago. It's a wonderful dessert that can be used at holidays but yet still great for any family dinner.

2 (3 oz.) pkg
cherry jello
2 c
boiling water
1 (20 oz.) can(s)
can crushed pineapple (drained)
1 can(s)
cherry pie filling
1 c
chopped nuts
1 (8 oz.) pkg
cream cheese, room temperature
1 (8 oz.)
container sour cream
1/2 c
confectioner's sugar
1 tsp
vanilla flavoring

How to Make Cherry Congealed Jello Salad


  • 1Dissolve jello in boiling water. Stir in pineapple, cherry pie filling and nuts. Chill until set.
  • 2Mix together cream cheese, sour cream, confectioner's sugar and vanilla flavoring until well blended. Spread over top of jello. Refrigerate.
