A wonderful fruit salad for a fall festivity or carry into the holiday season. This recipe has 2 parts; Day 1 & Day 2

Ingredients

  • DAY 1
  • 1 - egg, slightly beaten
  • 8 ounces crushed pineapple in juice
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • DAY 2
  • 8 ounces cool whip
  • 4 - apples, peeled or leave with skin on for color
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1 jar caramel sauce topping used for ice cream

How To Make caramel apple salad

  • Step 1
    In a saucepan mix together all the ingredients from day 1 bring to a boil, cook until thick and refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 2
    Day 2 combine the sauce from day 1 reserving a bit to sprinkle on top for presentation.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle with additional peanuts if desired.
