Ingredients

  • 5
    granny smith apples peeled & diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 8oz
    canned crushed pineapple juice, natural
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 8oz
    cool whip thawed
  • 1 c
    salted dry roasted peanuts, chopped

How to Make Candy Apple Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. In a small saucepan mix flour, vinegar, pineapple, sugar and egg
  2. Cook over med. heat stirring constantly until thick. Refrigerate until cool. While mixture is cooling peel & dice apples. Stir together cooled mixture, apples, cool whip and 1/2 the nuts. sprinkle remaining 1/2 C nuts on top
