This is one of those recipes that doesn't quite know what it is. It could be a side dish, it also could be a dessert. It definitely is delicious.

Ingredients

  • BOTTOM LAYER
  • 2 packages black cherry jello, 3-oz size
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 can blueberries, 15-1/2 ounce, drained (not pie filling) save the juice
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, 15-1/2 oz, drained, save the juice
  • 1 cup combined blueberry and pineapple juices
  • TOPPING
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make blueberry jello salad

  • Step 1
    Dissolve jello in boiling water. Stir in the fruits and the fruit juices. Pour into 9 x 13 pan. Put in fridge and chill until firm.
  • Step 2
    Cream together all topping ingredients. Mix until there are no lumps. Spread over firm jello layer. Return to fridge until topping firms up some. Serve in slices.
