This recipe is great for covered dish occasions. everyone loves it! You really need a stand mixer because you have to beat it a long time.

Ingredients

2 c
graham crackers, crushed
1 stick
margarine
2 1/2 c
powdered sugar
2 stick
margarine
2
eggs
1 tsp
vanilla
1 can(s)
pineapple, crushed, drained

13 oz container cool whip
4
bananas
maraschino cherries
walnuts, chopped

How to Make BANANA SPLIT DESSERT

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine cracker crumbs with 1 stick melted margarine and spread in bottom of 13 x 9 pan.
  • 2Beat powdered sugar, 2 sticks margarine, eggs and vanilla for 20 minutes, then spread over cracker crust.
  • 3Put drained pineapple on top of sugar mixture, then sliced bananas on top of that. Top with Cool Whip, cherries and walnuts.
  • 4Refrigerate for 4 hours.

    I always keep caramel and chocolate ice cream toppings on the side when I serve this.
