This recipe is great for covered dish occasions. everyone loves it! You really need a stand mixer because you have to beat it a long time.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 stick
    margarine
  • 2 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 stick
    margarine
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 can(s)
    pineapple, crushed, drained
  • 1
    13 oz container cool whip
  • 4
    bananas
  • ·
    maraschino cherries
  • ·
    walnuts, chopped

How to Make BANANA SPLIT DESSERT

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine cracker crumbs with 1 stick melted margarine and spread in bottom of 13 x 9 pan.
  2. Beat powdered sugar, 2 sticks margarine, eggs and vanilla for 20 minutes, then spread over cracker crust.
  3. Put drained pineapple on top of sugar mixture, then sliced bananas on top of that. Top with Cool Whip, cherries and walnuts.
  4. Refrigerate for 4 hours.

    I always keep caramel and chocolate ice cream toppings on the side when I serve this.
