This recipe is great for covered dish occasions. everyone loves it! You really need a stand mixer because you have to beat it a long time.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 can pineapple, crushed, drained
  • 1 - 13 oz container cool whip
  • 4 - bananas
  • - maraschino cherries
  • - walnuts, chopped

How To Make banana split dessert

  • Step 1
    Combine cracker crumbs with 1 stick melted margarine and spread in bottom of 13 x 9 pan.
  • Step 2
    Beat powdered sugar, 2 sticks margarine, eggs and vanilla for 20 minutes, then spread over cracker crust.
  • Step 3
    Put drained pineapple on top of sugar mixture, then sliced bananas on top of that. Top with Cool Whip, cherries and walnuts.
  • Step 4
    Refrigerate for 4 hours. I always keep caramel and chocolate ice cream toppings on the side when I serve this.
