Ingredients

  • 20 ounces can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 3 ounces lemon jello
  • 8 ounces cool whip
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 8 ounces cream cheese at room temp.
  • 2 cups chopped apples ( i use golden delicious)
  • 1/2 cup sugar

How To Make apple salad

  • Step 1
Take pineapple and 1/2-cup sugar put in a saucepot over medium heat stir till sugar is dissolved and let this almost come to a boil. Put the jello and cubed cream cheese in and stir. Take off the heat and continue to stir till the cream cheese is melted and blended well. Let this cool. While it is cooling get the nuts and apples chopped. Mix the nuts and apples with the cream cheese mixture and then add the cool whip last and stir gently to blend all ingredients well. Put in a container and let chill up to 6 hours or overnight. This sets up really good and is light and fluffy so I usually let mine set overnight. Enjoy!
