Pinched from Taste of Home's Church Supper cookbook. This recipe makes enough to feed a crowd at a church supper or other gathering. Adjust the recipe down if making it for a smaller crowd. Good slaw!

Ingredients

  • 4 - large heads cabbage, shredded
  • 1 pound carrots, shredded
  • 6 medium red apples, finely chopped (i use apples that are more tart, personal preference)
  • 3 cups mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons pepper

How To Make apple 'n' carrot slaw

  • Step 1
    In a very large bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, and apples.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Pour over cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
