Ingredients

  • 1 - 3 ounce package of cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked salad dressing
  • - (*mayonnaise ?)
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream (*whipped)
  • 1 medium size can of fruits for salad
  • 6 to 8 - maraschino cherries
  • 1/4 cup shredded toasted almonds

How To Make 1949 workbasket: frozen food (fruit) salad

  • Step 1
    Cream together the cheese and salad dressing. Add salt and fold in the whipped cream. Drain and slice the fruit and cherries; add to the cream mixture.
  • Step 2
    Pour into a refrigerator tray (*ice cube tray ?) and sprinkle the top with almonds. Place in refrigerator at a freezing temperature.(*freezer) When frozen, cut in cubes and serve on salad greens. This makes six servings. Coffee would go well with this, hot or iced.
