Ingredients
- 1 pound beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 9 ounces frozen artichoke hearts, cooked and cooled
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chopped chives or scallions
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 2 cups salad dressing, recipe below
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- DRESSING INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/4 cups wine vinegar
- 6 - shallots, chopped
- 1/3 cup chopped parsley
- 1/3 cup fresh dill sprigs
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 teaspoon hot sauce
How To Make cold steak salad

Step 1DRESSING: Combine all ingredients in a glass jar and shake.

Step 2SALAD:In large skillet over high heat, saute meat in butter, a few cubes at a time until browned on all sides. Transfer to a large bowl and cool.

Step 3Quickly saute mushrooms in remaining butter and add to meat.

Step 4Add artichoke hearts, celery, tomatoes, chives and parsley.

Step 5Mix lightly.

Step 6Mix dressing with mustard.

Step 7Pour over salad, toss, cover and marinate overnight.
