russ's milk gravy

This gravy is especially good spread over mashed potatoes when serving a poultry dinner. Also delicious served over toast.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 C. flour (unsifted)
  • 1 C. milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make russ's milk gravy

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet, pour in vegetable oil and blend in flour. Cook and stir over moderate heat until light brown. Add 1 cup of milk, stirring, until thickened. Reduce heat and simmer 3-5 minutes.
