russ’s wild rice dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 pound wild rice
  • 1 box (6-oz.) long grain and wild rice
  • 1 box (6-oz.) brown and wild rice
  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 pound polish sausage
  • - 5-7 stalks celery, chopped
  • - butter

How To Make russ’s wild rice dressing

  • Step 1
    Prepare wild rice. Rinse several times. Simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until rice is tender. Prepare long grain and wild rice and brown and wild rice as directed on the boxes (use 1/4 cup less water than called for on the directions.) Mix all rice together. Chop sausage into small pieces and fry. Sauté chopped onions and celery in sausage drippings. Slice mushrooms and sauté in butter. Mix all ingredients together. Can be frozen for later use.
