Classic Cream Cheese Dough: 8 ounces (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature

8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature

2 cups all-purpose flour (measured and sifted) Filling: 1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon
•
3/4 cup unsalted roasted almonds
•
3/4 cup raisins
•
1/2 cup seedless raspberry preserves or jam (Sour cherry preserve is also great!)
•
All-purpose flour, for dusting
•
3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
•
1 egg, lightly beaten with 1 tablespoon of milk or cream
