1/4 cup olive oil
one 28 oz (794 g) can chopped tomatoes with their juices
1 onion, thinly sliced
salt and crushed hot red pepper flakes
6 oz (175 g) pancetta, cut into thin strips
1 lb (450 g) dried spaghetti
3/4 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese, plus more for serving
