6 unpeeled, washed (2 pounds) potatoes (cut into 1-in chunks)

18 garlic cloves (peeled & sliced, about 1/3 cup)

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons dry white wine
•
1/3 cup chopped fresh basil

Ground black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
