INGREDIENTS
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
3 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes*
2 1/2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
1 1/2 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
1 tsp chopped fresh thyme
1 - 3 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
1/2 tsp granulated sugar
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 lb rigatoni pasta
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups half and half
3 oz finely shredded parmesan cheese, plus more for topping
3 cups cooked boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced into small strips
3/4 cup fresh or frozen and thawed baby peas
