1 8 oz. package of cream cheese -softened
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
For the cake
2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 t baking soda
pinch of salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 large eggs
1 TBLS distilled white vinegar
1 t. vanilla
2 TBLS unsweetened cocoa powder
1 oz. bottle of red food coloring
12 TBLS unsalted butter -softened
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
For the icing
4 oz. cream cheese -softened
4 TBLS butter -softened
2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
2-3 TBLS milk (until you reach a pourable consistency)
