1/2 teaspoon salt
2 (8-ounce) cans no-salt-added tomato sauce
3/4 cup water
1 1/2 pounds 95% lean ground beef
3/4 cup reduced-fat Monterey Jack cheese, shredded, divided
1 (4-ounce) can diced green chile peppers
12 (6-inch) corn tortillas
hot pepper sauce, to taste, for topping
1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced, for garnish
