3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
1 tsp pepper (or to taste)
5 lb prime rib
2 medium onions (quartered)
5 cloves garlic (peeled)
4 sprigs thyme
2 sprigs rosemary
1 cup dry red wine
1 cup beef broth (low sodium)
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
