INGREDIENTS
2 – 4 pork loin chops (we used center cut, bone-in)
1 tablespoon grapeseed oil or olive oil
1 small onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, roughly minced
2 gala apples, thinly sliced
2 pieces whole cloves (optional)
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup unsalted homemade chicken stock or water
2 tablespoons light soy sauce (not low sodium soy sauce)
1 tablespoon butter
Kosher salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional)
