INGREDIENTS
1 package( 1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water(110-115F)
3/4 cup warm milk(110-115F)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1 tsp salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 to 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Filling:
4 cups ground or finely chopped pecans
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
milk(amount to be determined on consistency…I used about 1/4 cup)
