2/3 cup sugar, divided
•
2 1/4 teaspoons rapid rise yeast or 1/4 ounce package rapid rise yeast
•
1 teaspoon fine salt
•
4 1/4 to 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
•
1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), at room temperature, plus more for brushing
