Ingredients
- 2 C Cold mashed potatoes
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- 1/4 C Finely chopped onion
- 1/4 C Finely chopped celery
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Pepper
- 2 Tbs Butter (or margarine) melted
How To Make potato patties

Step 1In a medium size mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, beaten egg, onion, celery, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Measure about 1/3 cup of the potato mixture into a well oiled hamburger press, forming a uniform patty. Repeat to make 5 more patties. In a large skillet, brown the patties slowly in butter for about 5 minutes or until golden brown on each side.
