Lots of freshly ground pepper (I used about 1/2 teaspoon)

1 c. diced canned green chilies **

3/4 c. sour cream (I used greek yogurt)
•
1 c. milk
•
3/4 c. (packed) grated jack cheese
•
2 scallions, finely minced (whites & greens) (optional)
