INGREDIENTS
Spice Mix for Pot Roast: Spice Mix for Pot Roast:
2 teaspoons tomato powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground rosemary
1 teaspoon arrowroot powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons minced dried onion
pinch of granulated garlic
1 bay leaf
1 3.5 - 4 pound roast (English or Farmers cut works well)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
oil (I use grapeseed oil)
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup red wine
2 cups water
4-5 Yukon or Butter Gold potatoes, washed and quartered
5-6 large carrots, peeled and cut into 2" pieces
