3 C. sugar
2 C. persimmon pulp
1 C. vegetable oil
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 C. nuts, chopped
4 eggs
3 1/2 C. flour
2/3 C. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Special Equipment:
4 empty metal coffee cans, cleaned

How to Make Persimmon Bread Deluxe


  • 1Mix sugar, oil, and eggs well. Sift together other dry ingredients. Mix all ingredients together. Grease and flour 4 coffee tins. Fill each can half full and bake in a 350-degree oven for one hour. Let cool before removing from cans, or freeze in cans for storage.
