Ingredients

  • 3 C. sugar
  • 2 C. persimmon pulp
  • 1 C. vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 C. nuts, chopped
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 1/2 C. flour
  • 2/3 C. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • Special Equipment:
  • 4 empty metal coffee cans, cleaned

How To Make persimmon bread deluxe

  • Step 1
    Mix sugar, oil, and eggs well. Sift together other dry ingredients. Mix all ingredients together. Grease and flour 4 coffee tins. Fill each can half full and bake in a 350-degree oven for one hour. Let cool before removing from cans, or freeze in cans for storage.
