1 (15.25 ounce) can of sliced peaches, drained (reserve liquid)
1 (15.25 ounce) can of sliced pears, drained (reserve liquid)
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup fat free evaporated milk (can substitute regular milk)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/2 cup syrup from canned peaches
1/2 cup syrup from canned pears
