1/2 cup firm butter or margarine
2/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tablespoon milk
1/4 cup sliced almonds
3 tablespoons coarse sugar
1 pint (2 cups) vanilla ice cream
