INGREDIENTS
2 cups milk
½ cup sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch (also known as corn flour) (for a thicker cream that will hold its shape when piped, increase by about 1 tablespoon)
4 egg yolks at room temperature
1 ½ Tbs. unsalted butter at room temperature
1 ½ tsp vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean
1/8 tsp. salt
