INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, small diced
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped recao culantro or cilantro
1 pound ground 80/20 beef
1 1/2 teaspoons dry adobo
2 potatoes, diced
10 pimiento stuffed olives, cut in half
2 bay leaves
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons tomato paste
3 1/2 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
2 1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 cup of water
vegetable oil for frying
