"This Pasta with Pumpkin Cream Sauce is like a creamy pumpkin version of alfredo sauce - with pumpkin and tons of sausage. I know everyone is kind of getting over pumpkin recipes but I'm still going. INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound sweet or spicy Italian sausage, casings removed
•
1 medium onion, diced
•
3 cloves garlic, minced
•
4 sage leaves, sliced into thin strips
•
1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth
•
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
•
1/2 cup heavy cream
•
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground nutmeg
•
2 pinches of cinnamon
•
1/2 teaspoon salt
•
a few grinds of fresh black pepper

1 pound penne or rigatoni pasta
