½ cup unsalted butter
½ cup sugar ((divided))
2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon salt
4 ½ cups all purpose flour
6 raw eggs ((dyed if desired))
1 egg beaten, with 1 tablespoon of water
sprinkles for decorating
