Palak Paneer

INGREDIENTS
1/2 pound paneer (fried until lightly browned, optional)
1 pound spinach (blanched and pureed)
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp whole cumin seeds
2 onions finely chopped
2 green chiles (or to taste), cut in half lengthwise
1 tsp ginger, minced
2-3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp ground coriander
10 ounces tomato puree
1 cup water (Ideally the water used to blanch the spinach)
salt to taste
2 tsp garam masala
1/3 cup heavy cream
